Which CEEMDAN formulation to use.
The variants differ in their per-stage construction (see module docs), not
in a tuning knob, so this is an enum rather than a bool.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Standard
Torres, Colominas, Schlotthauer & Flandrin (2011) — original formulation.
Improved
Colominas, Schlotthauer & Torres (2014) — ICEEMDAN. Uses the local-mean operator and per-stage IMFs of noise instead of raw noise. Fixes the residual-noise and spurious-mode artifacts of the standard variant.
