Approximation coefficients (low-pass)

Detail coefficients (high-pass)

original_length: usize

Length of the original input signal. Carried so that the inverse transform can truncate the reconstruction back to original_length, which is necessary because:

• Periodic with odd N produces M = ceil(N/2) per band; the inverse upsamples to 2·M which exceeds N by one sample.
• Symmetric/Zero/Constant use the PyWavelets-canonical M = (N + L − 1) / 2 (where L is filter length); the inverse reconstructs into a buffer of length 2·M + L − 1 and extracts the N samples at offset L − 1.
