Licensing

MorphIQ MotiveWave uses a machine-fingerprint licensing system. Your license key is entered once and stored globally for all MorphIQ studies and strategies.

Activating Your License

Step 1: Open Any MorphIQ Study

  1. Add any MorphIQ study to your chart
  2. Open the study settings dialog

Step 2: Navigate to License Tab

  1. Click the License tab in settings
  2. You'll see a text field for your license key

Step 3: Enter Your Key

  1. Paste your MorphIQ license key
  2. Click Apply or OK
  3. The key validates and activates on your machine
One-Time Setup

The license key is stored in Java Preferences globally. All MorphIQ studies and strategies read from this shared location — you only enter the key once.

How Validation Works

Initial Activation

When you first enter your license key:

  1. Fingerprint Generation: A unique machine identifier is created based on your hardware
  2. Keygen Validation: The key and fingerprint are validated via Keygen.sh
  3. Activation Binding: Your license becomes bound to this machine
  4. Confirmation: Studies become fully functional

This initial validation requires internet connectivity.

Ongoing Validation

After activation:

  • Heartbeat: Active studies send a lightweight heartbeat (~60 seconds)
  • Cache Duration: Validation caches for ~1 hour
  • Offline Grace: Brief offline periods are tolerated if previously validated
  • Reconnection: Full functionality resumes when connectivity returns

Troubleshooting

"License Invalid" Error

  • Verify the key was copied correctly (no extra spaces)
  • Check internet connectivity for initial activation
  • Ensure you haven't exceeded machine limit

"Machine Not Authorized"

  • You may have activated on a different machine
  • Contact support to reset your activation
  • Professional/Team licenses allow multiple machines

Studies Stop Working

  • Check internet connectivity
  • Restart MotiveWave to refresh validation cache
  • Re-enter license key if issue persists

Changing Machines

If you need to move your license to a new machine:

  1. Contact MorphIQ Labs Support
  2. Request an activation reset
  3. Re-activate on your new machine
