Silver Bullet

A time-based ICT strategy that trades Fair Value Gaps during specific high-probability windows. Simpler than the full Mentorship Model, Silver Bullet offers mechanical entries with defined time rules.

The Concept

Silver Bullet targets specific time windows where institutional order flow creates tradeable FVGs:

  1. Wait for the Silver Bullet window to open
  2. Identify FVG formation during the window
  3. Enter on FVG retest
  4. Target previous high/low or liquidity

Silver Bullet Windows

Three primary windows (all times EST):

WindowTimeCharacteristics
London SB03:00-04:00European session setup
NY AM SB10:00-11:00Post-open continuation
NY PM SB14:00-15:00Afternoon reversal

Pattern Rules

During the Window

  1. FVG Must Form: Clear fair value gap on your timeframe
  2. Displacement: FVG created by strong, impulsive move
  3. Direction Bias: Align with higher timeframe or session direction

Entry

  1. Wait for price to retrace to FVG
  2. Enter at 50% (equilibrium) or edge of FVG
  3. Stop beyond the FVG
  4. Target: Previous swing high/low or liquidity

Visual Display

During Silver Bullet windows:

  • Window Highlight: Background shading during active windows
  • Valid FVGs: Shaded rectangles with entry level
  • Entry Line: Dashed line at entry price
  • Trade Markers: Entry, stop, target on chart

Trading Rules

Bullish Silver Bullet

  1. Window Active: Within a Silver Bullet time window
  2. Bullish FVG Forms: Created by impulsive up move
  3. Price Retraces: Returns to FVG zone
  4. Entry: Long at FVG 50% or edge
  5. Stop: Below FVG low
  6. Target: Previous swing high or liquidity

Bearish Silver Bullet

  1. Window Active: Within a Silver Bullet time window
  2. Bearish FVG Forms: Created by impulsive down move
  3. Price Retraces: Returns to FVG zone
  4. Entry: Short at FVG 50% or edge
  5. Stop: Above FVG high
  6. Target: Previous swing low or liquidity

No Trade Conditions

Skip the setup if:

  • FVG forms outside the window
  • FVG is too small (< minimum size)
  • No displacement (weak move)
  • Already took max trades for this window

Example Trade

NY AM Silver Bullet - Bullish:

  1. Time: 10:15 EST (within 10:00-11:00 window)
  2. FVG Forms: ES rallies sharply, bullish FVG at 4500-4503
  3. Retest: Price pulls back to 4501.50 at 10:25
  4. Entry: Long at 4501.50 (FVG equilibrium)
  5. Stop: 4499 (below FVG)
  6. Target: 4512 (previous swing high)

Tips for Success

Respect the Windows

  • Only trade during designated times
  • Don't chase if window closes
  • One setup per window is enough

Quality FVGs Only

  • Look for displacement (strong move)
  • Avoid tiny, insignificant gaps
  • FVG should be "obvious"

Use Session Bias

  • London: Trade with Asian session momentum
  • NY AM: Trade with pre-market direction
  • NY PM: Look for afternoon reversals

Manage Expectations

  • Not every window produces a setup
  • Some days have no valid Silver Bullets
  • 2-3 trades per week is realistic
